WTS Awarded IBS Projects by Smart Telecommunications Posted on December 02, 2007 Intex is now one of the end-to-end contractors of Smart, performing services from site acquisition to network implementation. Site acquisition for both greenfield and buildings has started in January 2008 covering the areas of Metro Manila, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The scope of site acquisition services includes survey, permitting and documentation. Intex also does site development & tower construction in same sites already acquired. For indoor solutions, Intex installs antenna, constructs radio room and tests components in the Visayas and Metro Manila. Among the big projects handled by WTS are the Pacific Star Building in Makati and Shangri-la Resort in Boracay, where WTS led the design and implementation of its combined distributed antenna system for 2 carriers, Smart and Globe. Other forthcoming prestigious projects are the Mariott Hotel in Cebu to begin second quarter of this year, Net 1 and 2 buildings and South of Market at the Fort. |
